I have been trading leveraged funds for several years. I understand the risks and the rewards for doing so. I monitor the positions daily and make adjustments when needed. The biggest risk I see right now with funds: The fact that some government meddling will affect the perceived value. 2. The mandated timing of the exit could be, and most likely will be at the worst possible time for the individual. I've seen the damage done years ago when the leveraged oil ETF was stopped right at the bottom of the market. So needless to say the SEC decided "for my own good" I should take my loses with no recourse for the gains when the market recovered weeks later. I think the timing was intentional. Stop the meddling.
