I consider myself to be a reasonably sophisticated investor. I have used inverse etfs in my IRA accounts for more than 5 years. They have worked as advertised. They buffer my accounts against the vagaries of the US markets. And in volatile times like this, they can be used to limit volatile shifts in equities.
These etfs are valuable tools for sophisticated investors. As such, there should be no or little limitation in there use your comments here
