I fully understand leveraged and inverse funds, and the risks associated with them. They serve a very important part in my portfolios. I don't think it is appropriate for the SEC to decide for me if I should invest in them or not. I understand that there may be many novice investors who do not understand the risks inherent with all investing, but it is not the SEC's place to try to protect them by interfering with the investment strategies of all investors.
