I do believe that additional investor regulation in order to put limitations on my investor choices is a bad idea in a free market. I have inverse funds as a hedge against a market oops. So far those funds have taken a beating, and so should they as long as the stock market goes up. I look at them as insurance just as I insure my home against fire. Fire might not ever happen, but you wouldnt look at monies lost to fire insurance as unnecessary would you? And would you need an SEC to evaluate whether or not I understand the need for fire insurance? No.
