I've started late my career supplementing my state pension plan by investing in a mix of stocks and ETFs, including several leveraged ETF's. I am aware of the risks of leveraged ETFs and have weighed for myself the risks versus my goals and wholly accept responsibility for the outcome.

It's a little unclear to me, in this age of vastly available information, what benefit could arise from further regulating these securities and suspect that more than likely, pressing further burden of regulation upon the independent investor would simply serve to penalize rather than benefit.
