I understand the SEC is considering adding verification of personal financial information as a requirement before I can purchase leverage ETFs like SDOW which is a 3x leveraged fund.
This is a shocking development and I hope that common sense returns to whomever thought up this onerous roadblock. I want to be able to buy and sell these instruments as I see fit - Just like any other security. And I want to do that without having to be "pre-qualfied". Why in the world would these leveraged ETFs be treated differently than anything else?
