I have invested in a fund with the ticker symbol DRV, that triple shorts the real estate market, as protection against a housing market decline. Most of my wealth is in the equity in my home, and this investment is like an insurance policy for me. If I am no longer able to invest in such securities, you will be removing my protection. Also if I'm forced to sell my fund at a loss, (because the housing market has gone up, and the fund has currently declined in value), then that is like changing the rules after the game has started, which I consider to be not only unfair, but a crime. I also own SDS, which shorts the SP 500, and this is a protective measure against a stock market crash. I am outraged that there is even a proposal to prevent me from trading these type of securities in the future, and if I'm forced to sell at a loss, I will consider legal action.
