Dear Sir / Madam,

I have recently been made aware of the proposal the SEC is considering with regards to the use of leveraged products and that comments from the public regarding this issue are sought in order that a more informed decision can be made.

In view of that I wish to make the following points.

1. I have used leveraged funds for a small part of my overall portfolio for a while. Their use allows me to seek enhanced returns in a balanced way.

2. I understand the performance characteristics as well as the risk/return profile of such financial instruments and I feel well within my comfort zone using these to my advantage as part of my overall portfolio management.

3. In view of the above, I disagree with the SEC's said proposal to potentially prevent access to such products or to put in place excessive barriers which potentially would discourage companies offering such products to members of the public. This proposal, if enacted, will adversely affect my right as a private investor to attempt to maximise my returns in a balanced way.

Regards,

K. F. Knights
