Why is the SEC trying to protect the retail investor ? I AM THE RETAIL INVESTOR and I don't need protection I understand my purchases. I've relied on leveraged ETFs for asset protection for almost a decade with zero problems, zero complaints, benefiting in both favorable and unfavorable market conditions. I am not a sophisticated investor. I use basic common sense and I understand what I am buying. My broker (Fidelity) does a superb job of alerting me before every purchase of leveraged Etfs. Taking leveraged Etfs out of the hands of retail investors is insulting and unfair ------ regulation gone wild.
