I don't see how this rule achieves the goal of protecting investors. I LOVE the triple leveraged etfs and I have implemented a strategy of using them that reduces risk for me while achieving high returns.
Eliminating them will force me into ETNS or find other areas to implement my strategy, which may be more risky.
Please, PLEASE Keep the ETFs. Most people who are using them know what they are doing and aren't losing money. If they are, I'm sure they understand the risks. There are a lot of areas of American life that need to be regulated. This one, however, will not make a difference.
