I will re-iterate my previous comment. All naked short selling should be eliminated irregardless if it is a financial stock or not.
A single hedge fund can drive an individual stock down for a profit irregardless of the companies fundamentals through short selling---with or without rumors.
Recently, the "short" interest in one of my stocks was at 45%.
Are you going to tell me that this was not market manipulation?
