As an attorney, I feel I'm qualified to say that selective enforcement of the law is illegal. Your selective enforcement of your own regulations is, thus, illegal. This is an obvious attempt to "bail out" certain financial institutions. Why should I be surprised though? Thomas Jefferson once warned that the bankers were the greatest threat to American Democracy. How prescient.
