As an individual investor, I can attest that naked short sellers have decimated many of the small caps and have made the markets unpredictable in general. As the result, investors have lost confidence in the equity markets knowing stocks are being manipulated by the good old boys institutions that profit at their losses. These entities no longer hide their presence in their declaration of open season on small caps. Neglecting to stop these illegal activities will erode all confidence in the regulatory agencies as well as the markets.
