It's a sad state of affairs that the SEC has to sit down and "consider" proposals to extend the Naked Shorting rules to the entire market. It' a sad state of affairs that the SEC has to "consider" enforcing a law that's been on the books for many years. It's a sad state of affairs that the SEC has become little more than a puppet of Wall Street's white collar criminals. Maybe current political pressures will finally force the SEC to do what it should have been doing long ago.
