Subject: Regulation SHO

July 19, 2008

I agree with the text written in the insert below. The Reg. SHO that was written and put in place is ineffectual for protecting companies and investors. I have watched and invested/traded in many start up companies over the years, and have been badly burned many times as a result of ineffectual regulation on naked/short selling. No way would I start any company in the United States of America as a public entity. The risk is just too great. Even when all systems seem to be a slam dunk, the unlawful practices take away a great opportunity for our country and for the citizens as well.

Do what you will. Doing nothing will only make mockery of the present system. The need for the SEC and other Federal/State regulators may become a mute need in the future.

Thank you for your time
