As a US citizen and a stock market investor, I find 12b-1 fees are a drain on the economy. They have no productive value at all and in fact take value and productivity away from the economy because they are not invested in any productive work.
Mutual funds should not be allowed to charge 12b-1 fees. Fund managers should let the performance of the fund speak for itself
