I am strongly in favor of reqiring larger down payments for home mortgages. I received an email from the National Association of Realtors asking me to oppose this. They don't get it.
I'm generally not a big fan of regulations, but I believe that had this 20% requirement been in place for the last ten years, we would not be in the predicament in which we find ourselves now. Do the realtors really want to have it happen all over again?
