I am opposed to this legislation that would require a securities license. First of all, I believe that this is nothing more than greed on the part of the securities industry to exterminate part of its competition. The securities industry has shown time and time again that they are nothing more than fast talking sales people. Look at all the fines the brokerage houses have had to pay along with the lawsuits broiught against brokers for churning accounts and the like. Furthermore, look at the recent events with the mortgage securities.

As a licensed insurance agent, I am opposed to this legislation as the end result will be the consumer that loses in the end.
