Indexed annuities are risk-adverse savings vehicles — they are Not high-risk investment products where a consumer can lose his or her principal

Indexed annuities offer consumers important protections, namely: (1) the guarantee of premiums paid and (2) guarantee of interest credited

I have a security License and I believe that there is no need for any further regulations. The only difference will be that broker/dealers will get richer and force agents to sell their house product which will limit the choice for the consumer.

I believe the SEC should let the states Department of insurance do their jobs and not over regulate a product that is nothing more than a Fixed Annuity period end of story.
