As a highly ethical insurance agent, I have been selling Equity INdexted Annuites for 8 years. I stronly oppose that these annuities be regulated by the SEC. These annuities, when sold properly and explained by an ethical and honest agent are very popular and the people I have sold them too are very aware of how they work.

This proposed regulation is just another way to negatively impact the honest insurance agents who are helping their clients and trying to make a living. Instead of regulating the EIA's, more emphasis should be placed on client education and insurance companies placing stronger restrictions and product suitability forms.
