Making an Index annuity a security is crazy. My clients have lost zero money while the markets are down 20% since Oct. Most states have suitability a disclosure requirements already and the principals are guaranteed. I think this is personally about money. I believe that securities firms are concerned that money is leaving wall street for insurance companies.
