I have seen abuse, I have dealt with client's that were not informed as to what they were getting into and it was unfortunate. It has cost elderly client's a lot of money both in lost opportunity and huge surrender penalties.

EIA's are dangerous. Agent's have mislead client's, sometimes the agent did not understand the product, sometimes intentionally, I expect, because or the large commissions paid.

I am a member of FPA and a Certified Financial Planner (r) professional. I am employed by MetLife, they do not offer a MetLife EIA.
