Ladies and Gentlemen:
Please add my vote of support to the proposed rule referenced above. Some years ago I was badly advised by an insurance broker selling product and pretending to offer advice with my best interests in mind. I had no idea then that such salesmen were NOT held to a fiduciary standard of care. Now I've learned the hard way.
The insurance industry serves a very important need for virtually all of us, but their members are extremely zealous and crafty in their sales techniques. Truly, they are far better at sales than they are at minding the interests of clients.
Therefore, I urge you to finally implement this important rule. SEC oversight is vitally important to all of us.
