The indexed annuities are just another in a long and never ending line of products from an old line and hopefully dying industry the plays on peoples fears and offer horrible products with high fees.
With the stock market as low as it is today, most of the risk in equities has been squeezed out. There is no good reason to invest in Indexed Annuities today.
You have to protect all those seniors and uneducated investors from themselves and unscrupulous sales people.
These products should not be sold by life insurance sale people, but left to investment professionals, just like stocks and bonds
