I am writing to request the SEC withdraw it's proposal to include Fixed annuities with other securities products. I have been a licenced insurance agent for more than 10 years and highly believe in the value that fixed annuities bring to my clients. These are FIXED products where the client can not lose money unlike security products. The state insurance commissioners provide a high level of compliance, suitability and disclosure. It has been my experience that a great deal of securities brokers are more concerned with the "potential" of growth where I on the other hand only offer the comfort, safety and guarantees of a fixed product. Please do not confuse the matter or the public by lumping the two product lines together - Fixed Annuities are one of the few options for clients who want the safety and guarantee that they will not lose even a penny. I am repsectfully requesting that you withdraw your proposal.
