It is pretty obvious to most anyone in the Insurance and Annuities marketplace that this proposed bill is absolutely being created to take away options that consumers now have that are not interested in having to work with and possibly be charged by advisors and brokers for services that they in most cases now recieve for "FREE".
The proposed problem suggesting that indexed annuties are somehow at risk of losing principal or gains due to being associated with the market are ridiculous. The success of these products should be proof enough that the consumer is happy with their options and growth in their accounts to not be swayed by brokers who are upset due to a loss of business to a better product.
Please,Please, don't get swayed by made up claims by brokers due to their not having the ability to meet with the sussess of the index annuity.
The American public has finally found a group of products that are beneficial to them without the fees associated with brokers and some advisors. Please leave it alone.
