I do not support the proposal in question. As a licensed insurance agent of 14 years and having held series 6 63 licenses during that time, I do not see how a fixed indexed annuity can be catagorized as anything other than a safety based retirement vehicle. Since the policies offer guaranteed minimum rates and safety of principle I have never known of any policyowner who lost money. Complete disclosure of early surrender charges are disclosed over over throughout brochures, policy support calls to applicants for policies. I hope that my opinions will be considered before you take action for I believe you will be limiting consumers access to such a necessary product as so much of our populations reaches retirement age and hopes to have a guaranteed income for life available if they so choose.
