Since fixed index annuities are fixed - guaranteed to not lose any principal due to stock market downturns - there is no risk to the annuity owners' money if they follow the rules of the contract.

Therefor there is NO NEED TO HAVE THE SEC REGULATE FIXED ANNUITIES OF ANY KIND.
