To Whom It May Concern: I am a young insurance professional that has been in the insurance business since 1995. Being a single divorced Father with a "special Needs" child, a one income household is very challenging and hard to "balance" on a monthly/annual basis. I am now having to worry about what is at stake due to some very few other irresponsible agent's/financial advisor's that may ruin the very same ethics and standards that I have worked hard to put into place over the last 13 years, so now I have to worry that I have worked so hard to attain these client's/friend's over the years, and due to a few bad apples that should not even have their insurance license, I now have to potentially suffer through all this because of them?? This especially will effect my young special needs son's interest's as well?? Well, if this is what's to happen becuase I am being ethical and caring for my client's and their futures, then I feel this proposal needs to be disected very carefully before you ruin a lot of peoples lives. I would hope that there are products out there that truly are helping people for the right reasons. Most of my clients are over age 65. I also hope that the "broker's" in the brokerage houses are not complaining about this because they have lost billions of dollars in commission's due to the fact that they can in a lot of cases sell EIA's and put their client's in the better position's that we the insurance agents/insurance industry has done for the past several years. There are some bad apples in the brokerage business as well, but have you seen the insurance industry in the news of late hounding on them? And for what? It goes both ways in the industry. Please be conscious of what is at state with this proposal. My livelihood depends on it. Thank you.
