I’m writing because my family and I were affected by the economic collapse of 2008, and we don’t want it to happen again.

I can't help believing that Wall Street greed and outrageous pay practices were a major cause of the collapse. These workers should not be rewarded for short-term solutions that look good and then fall apart in a short time.

My husband and I are more fortunate than many, but we have had to do a lot of belt tightening ourselves. And we know many who are worthy people and hard workers who have lost their jobs or have been cut back in time so that they must do odd jobs etc. in an effort to get by. One person is almost starving and will probably lose her home because her business is making and selling stained glass supplies, and folks just have to cut back on that interest when they don't have money.

Please take action to ensure that there is no repetition of the rampant greed and corruption that we saw on Wall Street before the 2008 collapse.

Thank you for considering my comment,
