Hello,
Hope all is well. I want to write to encourage you to do your best to not only enforce appropriate Wall Street pay limits but do your best to put our financial industry in it's proper place in our society. Not to be too direct, but I think in an ideal society the financial industry should serve no more and no less a purpose than our water utilities. Namely, they should work to, and you should enforce this, to allocate capital appropriately through our society.
What I have seen all to often in my career is that instead of serving this important purpose in our society our financial industry has become the center of the conversation and, sadly, even put themselves in leadership positions in industry and business settings. This is to our society's detriment. Leaders and businessmen should be free to lead and explore their business creativity and our finance industry should be support mechanisms - nothing more and nothing less.
