I’m writing because my family and I were affected by the economic collapse of 2008, and we don’t want it to happen again.

If a bum steals a case of beer what kind of time will he do? What kind of fines could he have to pay? Eye for an eye. The incarceration of corporate thieves should be mete with the persecution we like to call "enforcement" against the impoverished, lower-class and handicapped citizens. Lock 'em up or they will never learn. If a bum steals a purse with $100, what does a CEO who gets paid a bonus for stealing millions form blue-collar pension plans? ENRON was not an isolated incident!

One way to change the incentives so Wall Street doesn’t collapse our economy again would be for regulators to set up a way for shareholders to grab back ill-gotten gains.

If it turns out that the profits in a given year were built on shoddy practices that become clear in the out-years, those bonus payments should be forfeited.

Thank you for considering my comment,
