Ladies and Gentlemen,
I commend the SEC for putting forward approaches that can provide shareholders with a greater voice in the companies that we own. http://www.marketwatch.com/story/sec-moves-to-give-investors-say-in-board-elections As this article points out, any easy solutions are apt to be complex.
As a 30+ year veteran of the securities industry and as the founder and CEO of a registered broker/dealer, I would very much like to testify and/or comment as to the power the corporations have and how little voice we shareholders have in how public companies are run.
