I am co-founder of a swimwear company called Kamala Trunks, which provides a unique niche product to a growing Los Angeles fashion market. We have begun production and have steady sales, but due to the high quality materials our product requires, capital has been our biggest challenge to date. My partners and I have built our business based on the idea of “staying current” both in the fashion world and in terms of our growth. As we have tried to address the difficulties of raising investments, we have found a number of Title III crowdfunding platforms that we thought could bring out company to the next level. We have looked into a number of these platforms and are simply waiting for the legislation to come through so we can continue to grow our business. As a small business with limited resources, Title III crowdfunding platforms would not only help us gain capital, but would also allow those hundreds and hopefully thousands of investors to spread our name. As small-part investors in our company, most of them would then act as brand ambassadors and look to share our product with people around the country. I implore you to finalize legislation on Title III as soon as possible so that my small business can have the capacity to increase production, hire new employees and help grow our business outside of Los Angeles.

Sincerely,

Teddy Rounds
