Dear Ms. Mary Jo White, I am Trae Smith and I am an entrepreneur who cofounded Opulent Social, a California company that is driven to provide an equal opportunity for all children to obtain success regardless of race, gender, religion, or economic status. I am interested in equity crowdfunding and we have heard that the JOBS Act received large support back in April 5th of 2012. I am writing to express my interest in Title because it would allow me to utilize my close friends and family as potential investors. I am writing to advocate for you and your colleagues to finalize Title III so that we can know how to proceed as a business! This lack of decision is stunting our potential growth! The SEC promised to deliver rules in 2012 but now its already 2014’s end. With the ability to crowd fund, we would raise money to hire 5 individuals to the team with the intention of paying for online advertisement, hiring developers, and conducting additional market research. It’s great to know that you share our vision of equity crowd funding! We just need that extra push for the SEC to make a decision on the Title III rules!
