I am the Founder and CEO of WikiRealty, Inc. - a startup based in Santa Monica California. WikiRealty is a real estate ecosystem that connects consumers and professionals who share their real estate knowledge. I am in the process of raising capital for my startup and am aware of various crowd funding vehicles for startups. While some of these vehicles offer incentives such as rewards and token company gifts in return for providing funds, I believe there is a lot of merit in providing equity/ownership in companies for these investments. If such a vehicle was in place and the rules and regulations were not overly burdensome to business owners, I would certainly explore it as a viable option for raising capital for my company. Currently, my projections assume that my company will grow to between 15-20 employees with 12 months...and in order to accommodate this growth, I will need to raise the necessary capital to support this level of staff.
