My name is Sherwood Moore and I am the Director of Marketing at thrdPlace. thrdPlace is a collaboration tool that uses story and social sharing to allow anyone to raise funds, supplies, and volunteers for projects to improve their community. Together we are working to create a world where citizens, companies, and government can better work together to address issues in our shared communities from the ground up. Your support would enable us to stabilize our product and operational team. Within 12 months of funding, thrdPlace will hire at least 3 full-time employees. Additionally, the 6 current employees would be brought up to full-time salary and benefits. As a company, we would also invest heavily to stabilize our web product so as to offer greater scalability of services to more corporate clients.
I encourage the SEC to finalize Title III rules. As entrepreneurs, the worst answer we can receive is ‘maybe.’ ‘Maybe’ - a delayed response - does not enable me to plan how to grow my business. There are too many urgent struggles within our communities to delay.
