The requirement to have firms audited by accounting firms and cover the cost (estimated at $8,100 per firm) will put many independent firms out of business that serve smaller communities across our country. Please rethink this requirement, it will put a tremendous financial burden on independent firms nationwide that are run mostly by one person offices. I am an FPA member and involved with a small RIA and this burden is far too onerous.
