The uptick rule must be restored ASAP. The lack of uptick control was a key contributor to the stock market collapse in 2007-2008. Hedge funds should have never been allowed to decimate the retirement/pension funds of the average American. Protecting the average American worker's investment should have higher priority than hedge funds.
