I will keep it short. Reinstate the uptick rule and if you do nothing else, BAN NAKED SHORT SELLING. I see it as the greatest threat to the economy and markets that could ever exist. No one should have the right to sell something that they do not "own".
The media has not mentioned the SEC much other than the conversation about the uptick rule and Bernie Madoff. Some positive press about the dept actually getting something done about leveling the playing field for all investors would go a long way in stimulating confidence for people to get back in the market. Thank you
