The uptick rule needs to be put back as it was before it was removed in August of 2007. Common sense will tell you after removing the uptick rule, the Dow nose dived from over 14,0000 points to around 6500 points which cost the average investor approximately 30% of their life savings. The dive began in October of 2007, just two months after the SEC approved the removal of the uptick rule. Somebody from the SEC wasn't watching the store and the American people got robbbed. The only answer is to re-implement the uptick rule without revision to it's original status prior to Auguest of 2007.

Sincerely,

Mark A. McCoy
