I worked 40 years, saved my money and retired with a nest egg that should have lasted the rest of my life. I don't have to tell you what happened. I firmly believe that greedy Wall Street types sold many stocks short to get rich quick at the expense of hard working Americans like us.

I understand that the SEC used data from 2005 to analyze the impact of short selling on the market when the rule was changed in 2007. Well, who would want to sell short in the 2005 bull market. Try using 2008 as your base for the analysis.

It is the opinion of many ordinary people that the SEC and Wall St are too cozy. How about dispelling that image and do the right thing to protect regular people, who strive every day to do the right thing.
