The SEC needs to go back to basics and bring back the simple rules of trading. The SEC, NASD and other SRO's have represented the interest of the Broker-Dealers and not the investors interest. Ms. Shapiro was one of the first to turn a blind eye to complaints about reckless broker strategies, policies and "innovative/creative" devices.
I am sorely disappointed in the SEC and NASD supervision and application of rules.... The SEC and its employees plus some of the Congressional members should be jailed or at least shamed for their lack of diligence and performance.

I am one who feels that we do not begin to protect the public interest through our regulatory organizations and fail public need by continuing with business as usual and people as usual. Ms. Shapiro is part of the problem and new "brave" and knowledge people are rare at SEC,
