Abusive, naked short-selling, without the up-tick rule, has been the bane of an orderly market and the small, independent, retail investor.
This injustice has been perpetrated long enough, and it's time to reforce rules that create an orderly market and that are not, most probably, a significant reason and downright cause for the massive selloff in equities and loss in shareholder value in the past year.
Hammering an equity to ground upon a rumor instigated by a hedge fund helps no one. Bring back the up-tick rule.
