To whom it may concern,
I bought stocks in the USA while the uptick rule was in place, now it is not on your decision. I really feel strongly the rule should be put back in place and so do many American investors. Enough placating the electronic era and the daily gamblers. Bring back an investing market and not the current daily casino.
As a long term buy and hold investor, I hold the SEC accountable for actions such as removing this rule. I do not feel public comment through market participants represents the actual views of a buy and hold investor, therefore was not a fair forum for your decision anyway. You have had several chances to re instate the rule, why not??
Although I reside in Canada, we do and must have a meaningful voice, legally speaking.
