Please suspend mark to market accounting and reinstate the uptick rule on short sales. This is killing the individual investor. I am an investor in bank stocks and have lost about 80% of my portfolio value and am convinced that 40% of it is because of this. I do realize the economy is bad, but these things should be done immediately before any more damage is done.
