Dear Ms Schapiro
As you are well aware, the stock market has taken a terrible beating this last year. Thanks to the media fanning the flames of panic, short sellers are driving the market into the ground. Investor confidence is at an all time low. But of course, you know all this.
I write to you today, to encourage you to reestablish the "Uptick Rule". I believe this would do more to boost investor confidence and turn the market around, than any other single remedy. Therefore, I beg of you, please reestablish the "Uptick Rule" as soon as possible!
