Bring back the uptick rule.
You can always have a trial run on select stocks with other rules like you did when testing downtick shortable stocks.
I think that, if nothing else, it will satisfy peoples confidence in the market system again, protected from those 'greedy hedge funds' who gang up on stocks and pummell them.
