As you are well aware, the stock market has been fluctuating widely as of late, mostly DOWN. Many people feel it is partly the result of removing the Uptick Rule on July 6, 2007. If that is even only a part of the problem, it would appear wise to reinstate the Uptick Rule and bring a little stability to the stock market.
We would appreciate your serious consideration of the idea expressed above, that of restoring the Uptick Rule. Thank you
