Dear Chairwoman Shapiro,
It is with great respect that I write this, but I do not understand why you have not acted on two of the most important issues facing the markets right now. First and foremost, you need to immediately reinstate the up tick rule. There is a reason this rule was put into place after the crash of 1929 and it needed right now. Second, you need to prosecute firms who are engaging in abusive short selling to the fullest extent you can. You should not only target the firms who engage in naked short selling but also the firms who allow those trades to occur.
